Steve Austin Wants To Make It Clear He Wasn’t Setting Up A Match With Lesnar

Steve Austin set the wrestling world on fire last week after he cut a classic Stone Cold promo on Paul Heyman when Heyman asked about a potential match with Brock Lesnar. Watching the promo from a fan’s point of view it seemed like there was some genuine interest there but Steve Austin is trying to put the fire out.

He addressed all the talk on the recent episode of his Steve Austin Show podcast. He says he didn’t know what Heyman was going to ask but that he bit hook, line and sinker and ended up cutting what he described as a “half assed promo.” He goes on to say that he wasn’t trying to book a match or sell a match. He says that Brock and him are on two different roads and he doesn’t expect to wrestle Brock at WrestleMania 32.
