We’re currently on the road to WrestleMania 41 and business has picked up in a major way. In recent weeks names like The Rock and John Cena have returned, and you never know who else could show up.
While speaking with The Schmo, Steve Austin was asked about his status for WrestleMania this year. The Texas Rattlesnake confirmed that he hasn’t been in contact with anybody, but noted that anything can happen.
“I haven’t been in contact with anybody, so I guess anything can happen, but I’m here to run the Mint 400 and that’s what my sights are set on. I’m not looking to Mania. I’m looking to the Mint 400. I’ve got a brand new left knee, it’s my first race back, and I’m gonna go out there and kick a** to see if I can do it as well as I can.”
Steve Austin officially retired after his match with The Rock at WrestleMania 19 in 2003. However, Austin did the unthinkable when he returned to the ring a few years ago and defeated Kevin Owens in the main event of WrestleMania 38. Austin was also featured on night two of WrestleMania 38, but he has not appeared on WWE programming since then.
