Steve Austin On Possibly Returning To The Ring For One More Match

0

Following his match with The Rock at WrestleMania 19, Steve Austin quietly retired from in-ring competition. A few years ago The Texas Rattlesnake shocked the world when he returned to the ring to face Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38, and ever since then fans have been wondering if Austin could potentially wrestle another match at some point in the future.

During a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show ahead of WrestleMania, Steve Austin was asked if there’s a chance of him wrestling another match, and he explained why he’s not looking to step into the ring again.

“No, I don’t think about anything like that. I’ve kind of moved on down the road. Don’t get me wrong, the competitive side of me, which kind of transfers into the racing that I’m doing, I want to be the best at everything that I do. You still go back and you watch the guys and the girls in the ring in WWE and you think I could have given Kevin Owens a little bit more than what I had.”

“Sometimes you think about it but I think the time right now in the ring is for the younger generation. That’s for the young men and women that are out on the road. I’ll leave it to them. They’ve taken it to a great place, the business has grown to something that I would never have imagined. Don’t get me wrong I can still whip some a**, but I’m not looking to get back in the ring at any time in the future because these young cats need something to shoot for. Stone Cold don’t need to beat nobody’s a** anymore. And that’s the bottom line because I said so.”
