Steve Austin revealed on his podcast that he will not be attending WrestleMania this weekend but will instead be watching from his ranch in Texas. According to PWInsider the fact that he’s not attending is reportedly a hot topic backstage.

WWE reportedly had plans for Austin had he taken the trip to California and several people were said to be surprised that he’s not attending.

On a somewhat related note it’s also rumored that WWE is looking to to load up WrestleMania 32 with legends next year in an attempt to break attendance records. It will be interesting to see if WWE tries to talk Austin into one final match in his homestate of Texas because well, who wouldn’t want to see that?

Stone Cold has consistently taken a “anything can happen” stance on the possibility of a last match over the years saying things such as.

“I’d consider anything if the perfect situation or opportunity arose and it would be more than a million-dollar question. I don’t want to sit here and promote a match, sell a match or talk about making a comeback. People get their panties in a wad and say, “Stone Cold, either do it or not.” So, anything can happen, but I’m not going to endorse, promote, sell or tease anything in regards to a match.”

No need to start rumors as that’s not what this post is about. More like the fan inside of us just wants to see it one last time, but like we already said, who doesn’t?
