Steve Austin is one of the most legendary wrestlers of all time, and fans always knew whenever they heard the glass break that business was about to pick up. Austin’s entrance music is iconic, and so is his entrance. During his entrance Steve Austin had one goal: look like a bad ass. Luckily for him he always managed to accomplish that goal.
As Steve Austin walked to the ring he could often be seen moving his mouth and talking trash, but figuring out what he was saying was easier said than done.
During a recent episode of his podcast, Steve Austin answered some fan questions and one fan asked him what he used to say as he walked to the ring, and if it was just gibberish. Austin responded by saying that he wasn’t speaking gibberish but he was using a whole lot of profanity.
“It was never gibberish. Man, I was talking s**t the whole way down. ‘Yeah, that’s right motherf**ker!’ It was just a constant stream of F-bombs. ‘Yeah, that’s right motherf**ker. I’m about to tear this motherf**ker’s ass!’ It was just that. It was sentences. And like I said earlier in the podcast how Ric Flair just believed and was living that character, hey man when I was in that world, and I was in and the zone, that wasn’t no psych job. I wasn’t trying to psych myself up. That was ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin, and ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin walked to that ring with that bad motherf**ker walk, because he was sending a message to the other guy in that ring. ‘I’m fixing to whip your f**kin ass!'”
As Steve Austin said, he lived the gimmick, which means he raised hell, drank beer and talked trash. So, in the end it’s no surprise that he was dropping F-bombs on his way to the ring just as often as he was dropping Stunners.
