Steve Austin Criticizes Stephen Amell’s SummerSlam Match, Says It Was Bad Booking

“Arrow” star Stephen Amell got a lot of media buzz for his match at WWE SummerSlam, but not everyone approved of the celebrity getting in the ring. Steve Austin in particular wasn’t a fan of the match. He talked about it a little bit on a recent podcast and you can see what he had to say below.

“I just don’t like the celebrities coming in there, the squared circle, and being able to compete at any level with the guys in the business. You’ve got to protect some integrity of the business. I don’t care what day and age, what year it is.

So was it embarrassing? You’re damn right it was, but for the wrong reasons…and the reasons…bad booking.”
