Steve Austin Calls Controversial WWE Superstar Underrated

Steve Austin is considered by many to be one of the greatest WWE Superstars in the history of the company and throughout the course of his career he faced some interesting names.

Austin was at one point the face of the company, and fans have seen in recent years that WWE has been trying to push Roman Reigns as the face of the company. Roman’s push as a face was met with a lot of backlash from fans, although it’s worth noting that the wrestling community has seemingly embraced his heel persona.

While talking about which current WWE stars he could see himself facing in a dream match during an appearance on the Wrestling Inc. Daily Austin mentioned Roman Reigns, and he also explained that he thinks The Tribal Chief is underrated.

“There’s a lot of guys I wish I got to do business with. There’s generational gaps, but you always have those fantasy match-ups. You see what a guy’s doing and you think, ‘I could have done something with that guy. We could’ve made something really memorable. I think [Roman’s] doing great work. He’s a great performer, and sometimes he’s a little underrated. He’s phenomenal.”
