Stephanie McMahon On CM Punk And AJ Lee Possibly Returning To The Ring In WWE

It’s been a while since fans have seen CM Punk or AJ Lee wrestle a match in a WWE ring, as Punk parted ways with the company in 2014, and AJ retired in 2015.

However, a possible return for both stars is always a hot topic, and talk has only intensified since CM Punk joined WWE Backstage as an analyst.

Stephanie McMahon spoke about Punk and Lee during a conference call and she told metro.co.uk that she thinks it would be interesting for them to return.

“I personally enjoy watching both of them perform. I think Punk’s been pretty vocal that he’s not interested in an in-ring return right now, but for sure, that would be interesting. And I would love to see AJ Lee back in the women’s division.”

Stephanie went on to say that she thinks AJ deserves as much credit as anyone else on the WWE roster.

“I think AJ Lee was an incredibly compelling character. Some of our most interesting and intriguing storylines were with AJ, and I think she deserves as much credit as every other woman on our roster. Nobody should be overlooked, and that’s not the goal to overlook anybody’s name. Every single person is a huge reason for why this happened. ‘You know, I’m a big fan of AJ Lee’s, I really am.”
