WWE is the largest professional wrestling company in the world, and even though it might be a publicly traded company, WWE is still under the control of the McMahon family, with Vince McMahon at the helm.
But recently there have been rumors that the McMahons are open to the idea of possibly selling WWE for the right offer, and during an interview with Bloomberg, Stephanie McMahon confirmed that the idea is something that has at least been considered.
“We’ve certainly thought about it,” McMahon said when asked about a possible sale. “It would be foolish not to.”
Stephanie McMahon also talked about the evolution of women’s wrestling on the WWE main roster, and she noted that she was pushing for the women’s division to be portrayed in a different light for quite some time.
“I never felt great about the way we portrayed our women,” she says. “It was something that I spoke up against for quite some time. But it took me a while to have a stronger voice in the room. Ultimately, the voice that needed to be heard was our fan base.”
