A few days ago WWE revealed that Stephanie McMahon would be making a historic announcement on Raw this week, and since then there’s been a lot of speculation in regards to what the announcement would be.
It’s been rumored that Stephanie could be announcing an all women’s pay-per-view and/or Women’s Tag Team Titles, and during the opening segment of Raw all of the rumors were put to rest.
Vince McMahon kicked off the show as the roster stood on the entrance ramp. Vince welcomed everyone to Monday Night Raw, and then he introduced Triple H and Stephanie McMahon.
Triple H thanked all of the WWE Superstars for their blood, sweat and tears, and then he asked the women of WWE to step forward.
He told the women that he wants them to know that all of the men standing behind them truly support them, and the WWE Universe supports them.
Stephanie McMahon then got on the mic and said that moments like this happen because the fans demanded more opportunities for the women in WWE.
Stephanie then announced that on October 28th, over 50 women from then, now, and forever will participate in an event called Evolution, which will be the first ever all women’s pay-per-view.
Michael Cole then announced that Evolution will take place from the Nassau Coliseum, the Raw, SmackDown and NXT Women’s Championships will be defended, and the Mae Young Classic finals will be held at the event.
