Week 1:
Sanity defeated the Bollywood Boyz – After the match Eric Young says everyone gets put in their place.
Nikki Cross threatened Asuka on the microphone and Young finished up the promo saying that Tye Dillinger belongs with Sanity.
Liv Morgan defeated Billie Bay (with Peyton Royce).
Tye Dillinger cut a promo saying that he “lost the numbers game to Sanity” at Takeover, and just as he was about to talk about being in the Rumble match, Sanity attacked him from behind. Roderick Strong and No Way Jose made the save for Dillinger before things got out of control.
The Revival defeated Heavy Machinery- After the match the Revival grabbed the microphones and said that they are the best tag team in NXT. The Authors of Pain came out but the Revival just walk away. As Paul Ellering cut a promo on the Revival, they attack the Authors of Pain from behind.
Bobby Roode cut a glorious promo where he said, “I told you so.” He named everyone that Nakamura has beaten and reminded the crowd that Shinsuke didn’t beat Bobby. Roode says that NXT is now glorious.
Sanity defeated Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong, and No Way Jose
Week 2:
Authors of Pain won a quick match.
Billie Kay and Peyton Royce defeated Liv Morgan and Ember Moon.
DIY cut a promo where they said that they realized their dream in Toronto and they want their rematch against AOP. The Authors of Pain respond, but while Paul Ellering is cutting a promo on Tommaso and Gargano, the Revival jumped DIY from behind. However, Dawson and Wilder left before AOP could make it to them.
WWE United Kingdom Championship Match: Tyler Bate defeated Trent Seven.
Week 3
Peyton Royce defeated Ember Moon and Liv Morgan in a triple threat match to become the new #1 contender for Auska’s championship.
Pete Dune defeated Mark Andrews
Booby Roode defeated No Way Jose. After the match, Roode went back to the ring to continue his attack on Jose when Kassius Ohno’s music hit and the former Chris Hero cut a promo on Roode which ended with Roode sneak attacking Ohno ,although he makes a comeback on The Glorious One and eventually the two brawl for a bit which causes Roode to vacate the ring.
Week 4
Patrick Clark (‘member him from Tough Enough?) defeated Sean Maluta (‘member him from the CWC?). This was most likely a dark match just for the Full Sail crowd in-between tapings.
Asuka defeated Peyton Royce to defend her NXT Women’s Championship (big surprise there). After the match, Royce and Billie Kay begin to assault Asuka until Ember Moon ran down for the save. Afterward, Moon and the Empress of Tomorrow stare each other down for a bit of intensity.
Team DIY vs. Authors of Pain resulted in a no-contest when the Revival ran down to the ring and interfered laying both teams out.
There was no Nakamura appearance at any of the tapings for the upcoming weeks, therefore one could only assume that they’re milking that knee injury.
[…] Whilst Asuka pinned Peyton Royce to retain her championship, the Venus flytrap managed to defeat both Liv Morgan and Ember Moon to become the new number one contender to the NXT Women’s Championship at a recent set of NXT tapings (full results available here). […]
