Spoiler: Huge Gimmick Match Returning At NXT Takeover, NXT Women’s Title Match Set

WWE purchased WCW when they won the Monday Night Wars, but they haven’t done much with the gimmicks and intellectual property that comes along with brand. However, it was recently announced that Starrcade will be returning for a live event in November, and now a huge gimmick match is being resurrected as well at NXT Takeover.

At this week’s NXT tapings at Full Sail University, Roderick Strong teased that he was going to join The Undisputed Era, but instead he attacked them. It was then announced that at NXT Takeover: Houston, Sanity, The Undisputed Era, and The Authors of Pain with Roderick Strong will face off in a 2 ring War Games match.

At the NXT tapings Nikki Cross also won a battle royale to earn a shot at the NXT Women’s Championship.

At NXT Takeover: Houston it will be Kairi Sane vs. Nikki Cross vs. Ember Moon for the vacant Women’s Title.
