In a few weeks the 1,000th episode of SmackDown is set to air, and it’s expected that some big names will be appearing on the show.
PWInsider is now reporting that WWE Hall of Famer Edge has been booked for the show which is set to air on October 23.
As of right now there’s no word on what his role for the show will be.
Edge spent several years as a main eventer on the blue brand and he feuded with some of the top stars in the industry.
Unfortunately he was forced to retire from in-ring competition due to injury in 2011, and he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2012.
