Next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw will be the special one year anniversary of the red brand’s debut on Netflix and it’s shaping up to be a big show. Several big matches have been confirmed for the show, and it looks like a potential return could be in the works as well.
PWInsider is reporting that there are some people in WWE who expect Chad Gable to be back as soon as Raw next week in Brooklyn. Chad Gable has been out of action since June as he’s been recovering from a shoulder injury. Prior to his injury Gable had been working as El Grande Americano, but the gimmick was given to Ludwig Kaiser after Gable was sidelined.
Fightful Select is also reporting that Chad Gable has been at the WWE Performance Center training for his return and is expected to be back very soon. Sources have indicated that he is planned to be back by the Royal Rumble, hopefully sooner. It was also noted that Ludwig Kaiser getting the El Grande Americano gimmick is expected to be addressed.
One way or another WWE has been building up this show for weeks and the company is currently advertising the following matches for Raw’s one year anniversary on Netflix:
WWE World Heavyweight Championship
CM Punk vs. Bron Breakker
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
The Kabuki Warriors vs. Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY.
WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Maxxine Dupri vs. Becky Lynch.
