SummerSlam is quickly approaching and tonight’s episode of SmackDown will continue the build for the big event. Fightful Select is reporting that The New Day’s program with The Viking Raiders is set to continue tonight. Plans call for New Day to play off of The Viking Raiders’ former fun-loving persona and as of Thursday night the idea was for New Day dress up as The Viking Raiders and mock them.
Ahead of the show WWE has announced that Liv Morgan will face Natalya, and Madcap Moss will face Theory. Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Street Profits, Riddle and MVP are also reportedly scheduled for the show.
At the upcoming SummerSlam premium live event The Usos will defend the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Titles against The Street Profits, and the special guest referee for the match is set to be revealed tonight.
It’s worth noting that plans for the show could change by the time SmackDown airs. Stay tuned for more updates as they become available.
