The WWE main roster is constantly changing, and you never know when a NXT star might get called up.
Matt Riddle has been one of the top stars in NXT for some time now, but it looks like Riddle is main roster bound.
PWInsider is now reporting that current plans call for Matt Riddle to join the SmackDown brand when he’s called up.
Plans to move Riddle to the blue brand have reportedly been in place since before WrestleMania 36, but they were put on pause following the Show of Shows.
Talk of Matt finally getting called up went into effect a few weeks ago.
Riddle is set to face Timothy Thatcher in a cage match on NXT on Wednesday. His NXT run is believed to be coming to an end soon, but it’s not known of the cage match will be his last with the brand.
