Drake Maverick had big plans to consummate his marriage on Monday night, but his plans were ruined by R-Truth who showed up in his hotel room and pinned him to become the new WWE 24/7 Champion.
R-Truth is once again in possession of the title, which means he’s once again on the run.
PWInsider is reporting that WWE is set to film a R-Truth vs. Drake Maverick WWE 24/7 Title match at San Diego Comic Con tomorrow.
WWE is set to be part of a Mattel panel at 11:15 AM in Room 6A, so there’s speculation that the title match will be filmed during the panel.
The preview for the panel reads as follows:
“WWE Universe, get ready—The WWE Elite Squad is back! Zack Ryder and Curt Hawkins host this year’s all-star panel featuring Rey Mysterio, Kofi Kingston, and “The Man” Becky Lynch. Not to mention the Mattel team, who will reveal the hottest upcoming WWE action figures. Anything can happen in WWE!”
