Several of All Elite Wrestling’s biggest names are currently sitting on the sidelines, and Kenny Omega has been out of action for quite some time due to diverticulitis. Omega recently returned to NJPW and he’s set for a match with Gabe Kidd at Wrestle Dynasty on January 5.
Fightful Select reports that there was some internal discussion regarding Kenny Omega returning at the AEW FulL Gear pay-per-view, but those plans were never firm.
It’s being said that Kenny Omega is likely to return to All Elite Wrestling before he heads back over to Japan. On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite a vignette aired hyping up Omega’s return.
People in All Elite Wrestling have said that Kenny Omega’s return has been discussed as something that could happen by the Worlds End pay-per-view on December 28.
