Earlier this month Bron Breakker challenged Sami Zayn for the WWE Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam, and Breakker picked up one of the biggest wins of his career when he defeated Sami to win the belt.
On the August 12th episode of Raw, Bron Breakker defended his title against Sami Zayn in a two out of three falls match, and Breakker walked out with the gold once again. Following his successful title defense WWE has announced that a tournament will kick off on Monday Night Raw next week to crown the new number one contender for the Intercontinental Championship.
Viper Reports of PWN is reporting that current plans call for the winner of the WWE Intercontinental Championship tournament to challenge Bron Breakker for the belt at Bad Blood.
With WWE reportedly setting up a title match for the Bad Blood premium live event it doesn’t look like the Intercontinental Championship will be defended at Bash In Berlin. One way or another it will be interesting to see who wins the tournament and goes on to challenge Bron Breakker.
