The first ever WWE Wrestlepalooza premium live event is quickly approaching and it’s safe to say that WWE will be looking to pull out all the stops for the show. It will be the first WWE PLE to air on ESPN and it looks like the company has some big matches planned for the event.
PWInsider is reporting that the following matches are expected to be announced for the WWE Wrestlepalooza premium live event:
WWE Championship
Cody Rhodes vs. Drew McIntyre
Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena
Stephanie Vaquer earned the right to challenge for the WWE Women’s World Championship when she won a battle royal at Evolution in July, and she was originally set to challenge for the title at Clash in Paris. However, that match was pulled from the card after Naomi relinquished the title after revealing she’s pregnant. It was confirmed this week on Raw that Stephanie Vaquer will face off against Iyo Sky in a match for the vacant title at Wrestlepalooza.
The wrestling community has also been buzzing following CM Punk’s segment with Becky Lynch on Raw which seemed to tease a potential AJ Lee return. It was recently reported that AJ’s return is the plan as she will be teaming with CM Punk to face Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at Wrestlepalooza.
WWE Wrestlepalooza will air live from Indianapolis, IN on Saturday, September 20th. Stay tuned for updates.
