This mo nth has been an eventful one for AEW and last week FTR managed to win the AEW World Tag Team Titles for the second time in their career when they defeated The Gunns. Heading into the match there was a lot of speculation regarding what could happen as Dax Harwood had said that FTR’s contracts with AEW were set to expire in April.
Ultimately Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood won the belts, so it appears that they’ll be sticking with AEW. This week AEW taped Friday’s episode of Rampage at the UW – Milwaukee Panther Arena in Milwaukee, WI and FTR addressed their future.
According ti ITNWWE.com, the duo announced that they have signed with All Elite Wrestling for four years and their current plan is to retire when their contract is up.
“AEW World Tag Team Champions FTR (Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler) came to the ring. They said they signed a four-year deal with AEW, and they will retire at the end of the contract.”
So it will be a few years before FTR hangs up the boots for good, but it appears that they have their endgame planned. Stay tuned for updates.
