On Sunday night fans saw Jon Moxley defeat Hiroshi Tanahashi to become the interim AEW World Champion at Forbidden Door. Moxley was in a brutal war on Wednesday night when he competed in Blood & Guts, but following the Blackpool Combat Club’s victory over the Jericho Appreciation Society it seems that Mox is going to have to focus on defending his title.
It was announced this week on Dynamite that 20 men would compete in a Royal Rampage match on Friday’s episode of Rampage to determine who the first challenger for Moxley’s title would be.
House of Black member Brody King won the Royal Rampage match and according to PWInsider he picked up the victory by last elimination Darby Allin. It’s not clear at this point in time when Brody King will be challenging Jon Moxley for the title.
