Ever since Triple H took over WWE creative he’s been bringing former stars back to the company, and it looks like another familiar face is being brought back.
PWInsider is now reporting that former Impact Wrestling World Champion Eric Young is set to make his return to WWE. There’s currently no word on when Eric Young will start with WWE, but he was recently written off TV on Impact Wrestling.
Eric Young filmed a vignette in secret in Nashville which saw him get killed off by Deaner. It appears that the plan is for Deaner to lead Eric Young’s group Violent By Design with Alan Angels and Big Kon.
Young first started making appearances for the NXT brand in 2016 and he went on to become the leader of Sanity. In 2018, Sanity got called up to the main roster as part of the Superstar Shake-Up, but it didn’t take long for the group to get lost in the shuffle. Young was separated from Sanity in 2019 when he was drafted to Raw and he was later released in April of 2020.
Stay tuned for more updates on his return as they become available.
