The second WWE United Kingdom Title Tournament is being taped at Royal Albert Hall this week, but the United Kingdom Championship isn’t the only title on the card. Roderick Strong and Kyle O’Reilly defended the NXT Tag Team Titles against Tyler Bate and Trent Seven, and Moustache Mountain ended up winning the gold.
WWE posted the following announcement regarding the title change:
“Tyler Bate & Trent Seven, collectively known as Moustache Mountain, became the new NXT Tag Team Champions by defeating Undisputed ERA’s Roderick Strong & Kyle O’Reilly during today’s NXT U.K. Championship taping at London’s Royal Albert Hall. The win marks Bate & Seven’s first reign with the NXT tandem title.See how Bate & Seven ended Undisputed ERA’s reign when the NXT U.K. Championship streams on WWE Network this Tuesday, June 26, at 3 p.m. ET/8 p.m. BST.”
As noted, WWE recently announced that the United Kingdom brand will be known as NXT UK going forward, and in addition to the United Kingdom Championship, Tag Team Titles and a Women’s Title will also be created for the brand.
