The Royal Rumble has come and gone, and WrestleMania season is officially upon us. This is without a doubt the most fun time of the year to be a wrestling fan, and over the next few weeks fans can expect to hear several announcements regarding the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class.
Former WWE Universal Champion Bill Goldberg was the first inductee to be officially confirmed for the Hall of Fame this year, and earlier today WWE confirmed that The Dudley Boyz are set to be inducted as well.
PWInsider is now reporting that the word going around backstage at the Royal Rumble last night is that Mark Henry and Lisa “Ivory” Moretti will also be inducted as part of the 2018 class.
It was recently reported that Mark Henry had retired from in-ring action, and he seemed to confirm that he was retired during an interview a few months ago when he said, “I’m retired man, I’m an old guy. I want people to remember my best.”
But it seems that Henry is dialing back claims of retirement as he recently told SI, “I am not retired. There is still a lot I can do.”
One way or another there’s no denying that Henry is worthy of a Hall of Fame induction, and we’ll just have to wait and see if he gets in on the action on the Road to WrestleMania this year.
