Earlier this year Impact Wrestling went through a regime change, and in the process the company lost of few of its top stars. Matt and Jeff Hardy parted ways with Impact Wrestling and returned to WWE, and former Impact Wrestling World Champion Drew McIntyre is now with NXT. Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis also left the company, but they’ve been unusually quiet since their departure.

PWInsider is reporting that Mike Bennett and Maria Kanellis signed a deal with WWE months ago, and original plans called for the duo to debut at NXT TakeOver: Orlando. However, there were no concrete storyline plans for their debut, so the idea was dropped.
According to the report, both stars are set to debut this weekend at WWE live events. It’s expected that they will join the SmackDown Live brand on Tuesday, and there’s also speculation that both stars could be involved with the Money in the Bank pay-per-view on Sunday.
