Impact Wrestling once again kicked off a new set of tapings under a new regime this week, and the company kicked things off in a big way by having Austin Aries defeat Eli Drake and win the Impact Global Championship during his first night back with the company.
The company has also signed Brian Cage, and Tyrus returned to Impact this week.
It’s been a big week for the promotion so far, and now they’ve made another big move with the X-Division Title.
Impact Grand Champion Matt Sydal fought X-Division Champion Taiji Ishimori in a Winner Takes All match at the tapings and Sydal emerged victorious. Sydal is now a double champion as he holds the Impact Grand Championship and the X-Division Championship.
It looks like Impact Wrestling is making some big changes at the tapings this week, as evidenced by the title changes and the fact that the company decided to ditch the six sided ring in favor of a four sided ring.
