The WWE Universe is in store for some exciting additions. The recent wave of signees to the WWE Performance Center include War Machine, Candice LeRae, and Trevor “Ricochet” Mann. It looks like War Machine’s debut might have to wait a little bit because they weren’t used during Thursday and Friday’s NXT television tapings before the roster takes off of a mini-tour of Tenessee. But Candice LeRae was certainly featured as she not only supported her husband Johnny Gargano during the show but also continued her feud with Zelina Vega.
During the second night of television tapings, one star finally made his NXT debut and received an outstanding ovation in the process. Not only that, but it appears as though WWE could be letting him keep his beloved name as well. Ricochet has been wowing audiences around the world for a long time now while building his name up to be someone worth watching where ever he went. Now that he’s in NXT it doesn’t look like he’ll slow down at all.
Ricochet debuted in a match against Fabian Aichner at Center Stage in Atlanta where he defeated his opponent in around six minutes. Although Ricochet hasn’t been inserted into any storylines just yet, his name is certainly going to be a big one if his reputation is any indication of things. After all, there has been a lot of buzz attached to this high-flyer’s name for quite some time.
The reason why many believe WWE is letting King Ricochet keep his name is that “Ricochet” was predominately shown on the big screen behind him during his entrance. While it could be possible to change this with some clever editing techniques, let’s hope WWE is letting him keep his name.
As you can see from the clips below Ricochet had a great showing and hopefully, he will be able to hit the road with NXT as soon as possible. It would be awesome to see him pick up with the crew and work the Nashville and Knoxville shows this weekend. Not only would it mean NXT plans on using Ricochet in a big way, but the fans in attendance (including myself) would love to see him.
