WWE has released the first look at “Southpaw Regional Wrestling” and it is both entertaining and confusing. WWE is known for hyping up their original programming on the WWE Network quite a bit before new shows premiere, but this new show kind of came out of nowhere.
Earlier today a simple trailer was released showing an old VHS tape being placed into a VCR (remember those things?). Once the tape starts rolling fans are treated to a world of wonder as they see the characters from “Southpaw Regional Wrestling” who happen to look a lot like some of the WWE’s top stars.
The trailer dropped with very little info about the show, but it did reveal that the show will be hitting the WWE Network on Friday. But from the looks of it, “Southpaw Professional Wrestling” appears to be a spoof of classic southern wrestling shows, and judging from the footage we’ve seen so far, it looks like it has a good chance of being entertaining.
Stars who appear in the trailer include John Cena, Rusev, Lana, The Club, Chris Jericho and someone who may very well be Fandango.
John Cena has been killing it in the comedy world over the past few years, anyone who watches Total Divas knows Rusev can be hilarious when given the opportunity, and we all know that Chris Jericho can turn anything into gold. Basically what I’m trying to say is, even though we don’t know much about this show at the moment, just based on the trailer, I’m in. Are you?
It’s official folks, Roman Reigns is going to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania 33. According to Roman Reigns he’s going to be the man that retires The Undertaker and we’re talking about whether or not it should happen on this week’s episode of Still Real Radio. You can check out the latest episode below and if you like what you hear, please subscribe to the show on iTunes.
