When you’re a pro wrestling commentator your job is to tell the story in the ring and on the monitors in front of you. But sometimes you might give away too much that you know in the process. Even if it’s not intentional, a Freudian Slip is still always a possibility.
Booker T is one of the best parts of Raw’s announce team and has an in-ring career behind him that is worthy of anyone’s respect. However, some people have noticed a couple interesting comments he’s been making recently toward Kurt Angle’s baby boy, Jason Jordan.
“Booker’s there comparing Jason Jordan to Eric Watts,” Bryan Alvarez said on Wrestling Observer Radio. “Yeah, he did that and later on he really freaked out about Kurt Angle adding him to the team. Like, there has to be something here. I’m not saying my idea they’re gonna do is Booker T is his dad–.”
“I don’t know,” Dave Meltzer commented.
“But something’s gotta be going on here with Booker T, like it’s so obvious now. Like, all he does is rant about Jason Jordan — all the time,” Alvarez said.
“Maybe Jason Jordan’s going heel.” Meltzer continued, “and when it’s all said and done, Booker looks like he saw the future that he saw it coming.”
“So he’s being Larry Zbyszko?” Alvarez questioned.
“Well, he’s being taught to,” Dave Meltzer said. “I mean that’s his role, unlike Larry Zbyszko who would play Larry Zbyszko like Vince Russo would do something like that, yeah.”
Therefore it looks like something might be brewing on Raw if Booker T’s commentary is any indication of things. Then again, Booker T is booked as a charismatic character which is why he has the job in the first place. The five-time World Champion is known for his over-the-top delivery and it’s one of his staples at this point.
But who knows what WWE might be planning because at this rate if you drop off from watching for a couple of weeks and come back everything seems to be different.
