The SmackDown Live roster has been going through changes as of late. Last week Ruby Riott, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan debuted, and they attacked a few members of the women’s division on the blue brand.
It appears that Becky Lynch was written off TV after the attack so that she can take time off to film “The Marine 6” and now it looks like two more SmackDown Live stars may have been written off TV this week as well.
This week on SmackDown, AJ Styles faced The Singh Brothers in a handicap match, and in the end it was Styles who picked up the victory.
After the match was over, Jinder Mahal attacked The Singh Brothers, and it appeared that the attack was meant to write them off TV.
PWInsider is reporting that several weeks ago there was talk of replacing The Singh Brothers as Jinder Mahal’s backup, but the talks died down.
It remains to be seen if replacing The Singh Brothers is still in the plans, so we’ll have to wait and see where The Singh Brothers and Jinder Mahal go from here.
Jinder is set to challenge AJ Styles for the WWE Championship at Clash of Champions next month, so it’s safe to say he’ll likely want some backup for the title match.
