This week’s episode of SmackDown Live featured the conclusion of the US Title tournament, and Jinder Mahal advanced in the tournament after he defeated Xavier Woods. Bobby Roode also advanced after he defeated Mojo Rawley, but Jinder sent The Singh Brothers down to the ring to attack Roode.
Daniel Bryan then announced that the finals of the tournament would take place on SmackDown, and Bobby Roode defeated Jinder Mahal to win the US Title in the main event of the show.
It was a good night for Bobby Roode, but it appears that it wasn’t such a great night for The Singh Brothers.
A fan in attendance noted that one of the brothers rolled his ankle during the post match beatdown on Bobby Roode, and you can check out a clip below.
It’s been a big week for the Impact Wrestling roster, as the company taped several weeks of TV in Orlando, Florida.
A lot of big things happened during the tapings, as some of the top stars in the company made their exit, old faces returned, new names debuted, and there were quite a few title changes.
The company also announced that it will be returning to pay-per-view in April for an event called Redemption.
It was indicated that the pay-per-view could take place from Toronto on April 22, but PostWrestling.com reports that there is currently no deal in place.
PWInsider notes that the backup plan is to hold the event in Orlando if Toronto is not an option.
