Big changes are coming for SmackDown Live, as the brand is set to move from Tuesday nights on USA Network to Friday nights on FOX next week.
The debut of SmackDown on FOX is being promoted as the 20th anniversary of the blue brand, and some big names are expected to be in the house.
PWInsider is reporting that when SmackDown moves to FOX it will officially undergo a name change and it will be known as WWE Friday Night SmackDown.
That is how the series will be referred to in all promotional materials moving forward, and that’s also what the commentary team will be calling the show.
WWE currently has a deal with FOX that will see SmackDown air on the network for five years.
