If you’re not a fan of three man commentary teams then you’re probably not going to be a fan of WWE’s latest announcement. The SmackDown Live commentary team will now be joined by Tom Phillips every week, and the team will consist of four different people going forward.
WWE posted the following announcement:
“SmackDown LIVE has a new addition to its announce team: Tom Phillips. The announcer joins play-by-play commentators Mauro Ranallo and David Otunga, and color commentator JBL, giving Team Blue a four-man booth every Tuesday night at 8/7 C on USA Network.”
This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw drew 2.767 million viewers according to ShowBuzzDaily.com. Viewership for this week’s show was up compared to the 2.60 million viewers who tuned in for last week’s episode.
For this week’s episode of Raw the first hour drew 3.066 million viewers followed by the second hour which drew 2.731 million viewers. The third and final hour drew 2.505 million viewers.
