Shinsuke Nakamura’s Target Revealed, First Entrant Announced For 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble Match

The WWE Survivor Series premium live event gave fans plenty to talk about as Randy Orton finally returned to the ring after 18 months on the sidelines and CM Punk returned to WWE after almost a decade. Now that Survivor Series has come and gone all eyes are looking ahead to the Royal Rumble in January.

Cody Rhodes cut a promo this week on Raw and he said that he’s grateful for his team’s victory at WarGames and he thanked Randy Orton for letting him pick up the victory. The American Nightmare then addressed the return of CM Punk. He said no one knew it was going to happen, and he welcomed CM Punk back to WWE.

Earlier this year Cody Rhodes won the 30 man Royal Rumble match and he went on to challenge Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 39. Unfortunately for Cody he didn’t manage to pick up the victory over The Tribal Chief on the Grandest Stage of Them All, but this week on Raw, The American Nightmare confirmed that he will be entering the 2024 Royal Rumble.

After the announcement the lights went out and Shinsuke Nakamura appeared on the screen. He said that he needs Cody to set him free and that he’s done waiting. Shinsuke then appeared behind Cody Rhodes and spit red mist in Cody’s eyes as the segment came to an end.
