The Raw after WrestleMania is always a big show, and this year the SmackDown Live after Mania was also a big show as it featured a few debuts from NXT stars. Tye Dillinger was one of the stars that made the jump to Tuesday, and two time NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura also debuted on the blue brand on the SmackDown Live after Mania.
Shinsuke Nakamura has already had a huge impact on the SmackDown Live landscape, and people can’t stop talking about him, which is funny, because he has yet to wrestle a match on the show.
Nakamura just happens to have enough star power to get people talking and although WWE has been teasing a match between Shinsuke and Dolph Ziggler, it’s probably not going to happen for another few weeks.
Billi Bhatti of Sportskeeda is reporting that WWE officials plan to hold off on the Dolph Ziggler vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match until the Backlash pay-per-view on May 21st. Nakamura and Dolph Ziggler have been working with each other in dark matches after SmackDown, and at recent WWE live events, but according to the report the match won’t be televised until the pay-per-view.
At this point it’s not yet known if there are plans for Shinsuke Nakamura to wrestle on SmackDown Live before the Backlash pay-per-view, but if he does wrestle a match it doesn’t sound like it will be against Dolph Ziggler.
