Shinsuke Nakamura Wants To Face AJ Styles At WrestleMania 33, Styles Taunts Nakamura, Charlotte Poses With The Rock

New Japan’s Wrestle Kingdom 10 featured an incredible match between Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles. The Phenomenal One was the leader of The Bullet Club at the time, but that didn’t help him defeat the King of Strong Style as Nakamura won the match to retain his IWGP Intercontinental Championship.

A lot has happened to both of those men since their previous encounter and they took relatively the same path toward WWE, although Nakamura landed in NXT and Styles jumped straight to the main roster. Since they are both still under the same parent company, fans worldwide are clamoring to see these two masters of their craft mix it up eventually.

Fans aren’t the only ones who want to see AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura face off again as Shinsuke himself noted during a recent media conference call that he would like to face Styles at WrestleMania.

During the call Shinsuke Noted that Styles doesn’t have an official opponent for WrestleMania yet, and he would like to be the one to fill that spot (via Yahoo Sports Japan).

AJ Styles is in tonight’s battle royal to determine the #1 contender to challenge for Bray Wyatt’s WWE Championship, and he sent out a message on Twitter to further display his confidence that he’s going to come out on top.

In the process, he also took a little jab at Shinsuke Nakamura. Although AJ Styles and Nakamura might be separated in regards to location, a match between the two is still possible down the line. All it would take is a Nakamura call-up.

It’s not likely to happen this time around though as AJ Styles is rumored to be mixing it up with Shane McMahon at WrestleMania. Styles responded to Nakamura by saying that he does have a match at WrestleMania and he plans on headlining the show of shows.

The Rock was backstage at Raw last night and Charlotte took a break from her resentment of Bayley to get a quick photo op with the People’s Champ.
