It hasn’t been a great week for Shinsuke Nakamura. On Monday, Shinsuke was bit by a police dog at the Rabobank Arena in Bakersfield, CA, and he later had to be pulled from his scheduled US Title match with Jeff Hardy on SmackDown Live.
Nakamura was originally scheduled to face AJ Styles at the WWE live event in Tokyo, but he was replaced by Samoa Joe.
Even though Nakamura didn’t compete he did make his way out to the ring on a crutch where he cut a promo before he was interrupted by Samoa Joe.
Joe put Shinsuke in the Coquina Clutch before AJ Styles made the save.
It’s unclear when Shinsuke Nakamura will be able to return to the ring, but it was recently reported that his injury is not considered to be serious.
