Shinsuke Nakamura was recently working with Rusev in a tag team, but it’s been a little bit since fans have seen the former United States Champion on TV.
However, Nakamura returned this week on SmackDown Live, and he made it clear that he has his eyes on championship gold.
At one point during the show Finn Balor was being interviewed backstage, but Shinsuke interrupted the interview and pointed at Finn Balor’s Intercontinental Championship before walking away.
As of this writing Finn doesn’t have an opponent for Extreme Rules, so it will be interesting to see if he ends up putting his belt on the line against Shinsuke at the PPV.
