Shinsuke Nakamura won a qualifying match to become a member of Team SmackDown at Survivor Series. It is a great opportunity for The King Of Strong Style to perform on a big stage and hopefully continue to show his worth to WWE higher-ups who might not see him holding a top title for some reason.
Jinder Mahal’s defeat of Shinsuke Nakamura was mighty lackluster depending on who you ask and it might not have been the best sign for Nakamura in regards to how top-brass sees his role playing out on the main roster. But if Shinsuke Nakamura can pull off a few Kinshasas at Survivor Series that might go a long way to change things for him.
It looks like he’s certainly ready for the challenge as he commented after SmackDown Live that he intends on running through Team Raw at Survivor Series. Although the only members of Team Raw to be announced so far are Kurt Angle and Braun Strowman we have a pretty good idea who else will be added to each side.
But it doesn’t seem to matter who Raw is going to throw at him when “The Artist” Shinsuke Nakamura spoke to a WWE’s camera backstage after his victory over Kevin Owens at SmackDown Live.
“It’s such an honor to be on Team Blue,” Nakamura said. “Last week we surprised them at Raw, but at Survivor Series when we beat them it’s not a surprise. It’s true, it’s damn true.”
That last part certainly sounded like a dig at Kurt Angle which gives me another WrestleMania dream match to book in my head.
Survivor Series is going to be a great show and the men’s Survivor Series elimination match looks like it could feature a lot of chances for some epic matchups. WWE usually books a great show for their Big Four November show, but this year it looks like they’re preparing for an all-out war.
