Shinsuke Nakamura is a two time NXT Champion, and throughout his run in NXT fans were patiently waiting for the day when he would get called up the main roster. Nakamura was finally called up a few days after WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, FL, and he’s now officially part of SmackDown Live.

So far Shinsuke Nakamura seems to be off to a good start, as he recently defeated Dolph Ziggler in his first televised match on the main roster at Backlash, and he was recently confirmed for the Money in the Bank ladder match.
The winner of the Money in the Bank contract is guaranteed a WWE Title shot whenever they want, and although it would be cool to see Nakamura win the briefcase, he’ll be getting a title shot regardless.
WWE is currently advertising that Jinder Mahal will be defending his WWE Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura at WWE live events in July.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that Nakamura will be working a program with Jinder Mahal on TV, as Randy Orton isn’t being advertised for the events, so it’s likely that Nakamura is just filling in.
