Back in September, WWE released a number of wrestlers following the TKO merger. Shelton Benjamin was one of the wrestlers who ended up getting cut and as of today he is officially a free agent. Now that Benjamin is free and clear to work wherever he wants it looks like he has every intention of returning to the ring.
The former WWE Intercontinental Champion recently took to Instagram to share a video clip of Godzilla with his voice dubbed over the clip. In the clip he jokes about having to find a way to make money. Shelton Benjamin also posted the following caption along with the clip:
“It’s been fun actually having time to focus on me and enjoy the many fruits of my labors. But all good things must end so time to strap up my boots and get back in the game. Big adventures ahead #justdowork”
Shelton Benjamin isn’t the only released WWE star who is getting back to work as Matt Riddle recently announced that he’ll be appearing in MLW, and Mustafa Ali has also been announced for several independent dates.
