People don’t Sheamus The Celtic Warrior for nothing. He is a beast of a sports entertainer who has been turning heads since he debuted in 2009. He was quickly pushed to the top of the card for good reason. Vince loved his look, and he had a legit tough guy appeal to him.
As it would turn out, the tough guy aspect of Sheamus’ character was more than just appeal. It just so happened he is legit. He’s one of the stiffest workers in the WWE right now and at the drop of a hat he could lay anyone out with a brutal Brogue Kick.
When Sheamus yells, “Faugh a ballagh!” during his entrance he means business. His iconic battle cry means “Clear the way” in Gaelic , and people would be wise to heed those words.
Last night on Raw, Sheamus took some brutal punishment to the face and he was busted open the hard way. It would later take sixteen stitches to repair the damage. But, it will probably only go on to give Sheamus more motivation at WWE’s biggest show of the year to reclaim the Raw Tag Team Championships alongside Cesaro.
Sheamus later shared some gruesome pictures of his wounds for everyone to look at and wince all they like. He certainly got rekt last night but that’s not the first time he’s been busted open and it probably won’t be the last. It also isn’t the first or last time a pro wrestler will bleed in Philly either. With the way Sheamus brings the stiff shots, we’re surprised it doesn’t happen every week.
We’re not sure whether it is because he is so pale, or just the amount of blood he produces from a wound, but nobody seems to bleed better than Sheamus. One thing is for sure WWE’s Celtic Warrior is one of the toughest guys out there. But nothing is going to keep him from WrestleMania.
