For the past few weeks, NXT has been playing vignettes that have teased the debut of The Queen of Spades. Last night the former MMA star finally made her debut on NXT and made sure that the women in the locker room took note.
Ember Moon had successfully defended her Women’s Championship against Sonya Deville before Kairi Sane made her way out and made it obvious that she wanted a shot at the title, it seemed that Ember was accepting her challenge before Baszler attacked from behind.
It was Kairi that defeated Baszler in the final of The Mae Young Classic back in the summer and it seems that The Queen of Spades holds a grudge. Baszler locked in the choke hold and Sane tapped even though this was on the stage and it wasn’t a sanctioned match, but Baszler didn’t let go and instead had to be forced by officials to release the hold.
After Sane was out of the picture, Baszler turned her attention to Ember Moon who was still in the ring and it seems that even after the attack that she had just witnessed, Moon didn’t back down and locked eyes with Baszler to let her know that she was ready.
NXT Takeover: Philadelphia is now just over four weeks away and it seems that whilst a new number one contender for the NXT Championship has now been crowned, Ember might have found her next challenger as well.
