Prior to WrestleMania 34, it was reported that Shane McMahon was dealing with some health issues, but Shane went on to compete in a tag team match on the Grandest Stage of Them All anyway.
Now WWE has confirmed that the Commissioner of SmackDown Live underwent hernia surgery last Friday, and the following update was posted on WWE.com:
“Smackdown LIVE Commissioner Shane McMahon underwent a successful hernia surgery last Friday in New York, N.Y. McMahon is currently resting at home, but he’s feeling well and is excited to get back to work on Smackdown LIVE.”
The stars of WWE are currently overseas touring Europe, but one of SmackDown Live’s biggest stars is noticeably absent from the tour.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that Randy Orton wasn’t included in the European tour because he’s now working a more limited touring schedule.
