Shane McMahon and Kevin Owens have been feuding for months now, and after Shane fired KO, the former Universal Champion hit the Best In The World with a wrongful termination lawsuit.
Kevin Owens then challenged Shane to a ladder match on Friday Night SmackDown with the stipulation being that the loser would be terminated from WWE, and the two rivals wasted no time taking the fight to each other.
The match came to an end when Kevin Owens hit Shane McMahon with a powerbomb on a ladder that was set up in the corner, then KO climbed the ladder and grabbed the briefcase.
After Owens grabbed the briefcase Michael Cole informed the fans that Shane McMahon has been terminated.
Kevin Owens then grabbed a mic, picked Shane up, got in his face and said, “Hey Shane, you’re fired!”
Owens hit Shane with the Stunner then celebrated.
