Brock Lesnar shocked the world on Sunday night when he beat Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 34 and retained the Universal Championship.
Since then Brock Lesnar has been a very hot topic, as WWE confirmed on Monday that he’s signed a new contract, and it’s being reported that Brock got into a heated exchange with Vince McMahon backstage after the show.
Dave Meltzer talked about the incident on Wrestling Observer Radio and noted that Shane McMahon stepped in to defend Vince when things got heated.
“He threw the belt against the wall at Vince McMahon. He was unhappy,” Meltzer said. “The reasons he was unhappy, I don’t know what they were, but he was. Shane McMahon jumped in. I don’t know if he wanted to fight Brock Lesnar, but he acted like he wanted to fight Brock Lesnar.”
Meltzer went on to say that Brock and Heyman then left, and there’s always a possibility that the whole incident could have been a work.
“Brock and Heyman left the building. Nothing happened past that. There were some words exchanged, it was a scene. Now as far as Shane goes, the words and the belt throw, for all we know this could all be a work. Nobody really knows. The people who were there did not think it was a work but they also know they were all worked on the finish.”
