The Royal Rumble took place from The Dome at America’s Center in St. Louis on Saturday night, and Shane McMahon made his return to the ring when he entered the 30 man Royal Rumble match.
Ringside News is reporting that Shane McMahon was a lead writer and a producer for the 30 man Royal Rumble, and it’s being said that he has a substantial amount of heat following the match. A member of the creative team reportedly claimed that Shane McMahon “openly buried Jamie Noble” and “tried to book the Rumble around himself.”
The report claims that Shane McMahon was fighting everyone as he was trying to book himself to be one of the last ones out, and his actions were the “talk of WWE today.”
A source also reportedly said, “when Shane is more impactful in the Rumble than Big E or Owens, even people who don’t normally complain are complaining loudly today.”
The final four came down to Shane McMahon, Bad Bunny, Drew McIntyre and Brock Lesnar. It was Lesnar who picked up the victory after he eliminated Drew McIntyre to win the men’s Royal Rumble match for the second time in his career.
