The coronavirus has crippled the entertainment industry as sports leagues are suspending their seasons and events are being canceled at a rapid pace.
WWE recently had to move Raw and SmackDown to the Performance Center in Orlando, and it’s not clear at this point when things will go back to normal.
TMZ caught up with Shane McMahon to ask him about WWE’s reaction to the coronavirus and he shared his thoughts on the impact it’s had so far.
“We’ll have to see if people can gather around, and obviously it’s sanitary. If people can have a good time, then great. If everybody shuts it down, then everybody’s in the same boat. We’ll see what happens. Hopefully not because everyone wants to have a good time.”
When asked if fans will be in the stands for Becky Lynch vs. Shayna Baszler at WrestleMania Shane said, “without question.”
As of this writing WrestleMania 36 is still scheduled to take place from Tampa, FL on Sunday, April 5, but city officials have threatened to “pull the plug” on the event.
