Monday Night Raw is set to take place from the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, OH and in case you haven’t noticed, Monday is the 4th of July. Raw usually sees a little bit of a dip in the ratings on holidays, but it looks like WWE is trying to stay ahead of the game by announcing several matches for Monday’s show.
WWE has announced that WWE Champion Dean Ambrose will be facing Intercontinental Champion The Miz in a Champion vs. Champion match. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, WWE is also advertising a “Team U.S.A.” vs “Team World” match. The match will be a 16-Man Tag Team Elimination Match and it will American WWE Superstars facing off against international stars.
Titus O’Neil hasn’t had much luck in his feud with Rusev so far, but he will once again be facing off against his rival on Monday. WWE has announced that the United States Championship will be on the line on Raw and Rusev will once again be defending against Titus O’Neil.
With the brand split coming up former authority figures such as Teddy Long, Corporate Kane and John Laurinaitis have been popping up every week in hopes of scoring the coveted SmackDown General Manager spot. WWE is teasing that we will likely see another name from the past on Monday.
